Resurrection Power

Jesus’ resurrection was foretold in the Old Testament.

Psalm 16:10b: For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

God the Creator

From the books of Moses:

Genesis 1:1: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Exodus 20:11: For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Benefits of Including Jesus in Everyday Life

We experience more of Jesus and His love.

Proverbs 8:17: I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.

John 14:21: He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."

2 Corinthians 3:18: But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Personal Growth

We must desire to learn and apply ourselves.

Proverbs 2:1–5: My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, 2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; 3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, 4 If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; 5 Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God.

Proverbs 18:15: The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

Humility with One Another

Follow Jesus’ example of humility.

Matthew 21:5: "Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.’"

Fear of Failure

Fear of failure is a lack of faith and can actually cause failure; only faith succeeds.

Isaiah 7:9b: If you will not believe, Surely you shall not be established.

Matthew 13:58: Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Godly Learning vs. Worldly Knowledge

Godly learning brings us to the knowledge of God and His love.

Job 22:21–22: Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you. 22 Receive, please, instruction from His mouth, And lay up His words in your heart.

Psalm 107:43: Whoever is wise will observe these things, And they will understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

Good Conversation

Loving, wholesome, wise speech has a positive effect.

Proverbs 10:11: The mouth of the righteous is a well of life.

Proverbs 12:18: The tongue of the wise promotes health.

Proverbs 15:1: A soft answer turns away wrath.
