Fear of failure is a lack of faith and can actually cause failure; only faith succeeds.
Isaiah 7:9b: If you will not believe, Surely you shall not be established.
Matthew 13:58: Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
Matthew 17:19–20: Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?" 20 So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
James 1:6–7: But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord.
If we rely only on ourselves and carnal means, we have everything to fear because we very likely will fail.
1 Samuel 2:9b: For by strength no man shall prevail.
Psalm 33:16–17: No king is saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. 17 A horse is a vain hope for safety; Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.
Psalm 127:1ª: Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it.
Jeremiah 17:5: Thus says the LORD: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the LORD.”
John 15:5: I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
When we trust the Lord, we have nothing to fear, because He never fails.
Numbers 23:19: God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Psalm 37:5: Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.
Jeremiah 32:27: Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?
Matthew 19:26: But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
God can work through us even better when we feel weak and incapable.
Isaiah 40:29: He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
2 Corinthians 4:7: But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
2 Corinthians 12:9–10: And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
If we believe and obey God’s Word, success is assured.
Deuteronomy 29:9: Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.
Joshua 1:8: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
2 Chronicles 20:20b: So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper."
Psalm 1:2–3: But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
Matthew 7:24–25: Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
James 1:25: But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
Keep your eyes on Jesus.
Psalm 27:13: [I would have lost heart], unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.
Hebrews 12:2–3: Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.
As long as our desire is to please and follow the Lord, He will see to it that His purpose is accomplished.
2 Chronicles 16:9a: For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.
2 Chronicles 31:21: And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered.
Psalm 37:23–24: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand.
Ecclesiastes 8:12b: Yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.
2 Corinthians 3:4–5: And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God.
Philippians 1:6: Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 1:12b: For I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
