God loves us, so we should love one another.
John 13:34: A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
Ephesians 5:2a: And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us.
1 John 4:7a: Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God;
1 John 4:11: Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
1 John 5:1b: Everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.
God gives us love to love others.
Romans 5:5: Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Galatians 5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.
1 Thessalonians 4:9: But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;
2 Thessalonians 3:5: Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
2 Timothy 1:7: For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
To love is the greatest law of God.
Matthew 22:37–39: Jesus said to him, "‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 "This is the first and great commandment. 39 "And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Mark 12:33: And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Luke 10:25,27–28: And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" 27 So he answered and said, "‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’" 28 And He said to him, "You have answered rightly; do this and you will live."
Galatians 5:14: For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
Love is the most important virtue.
1 Corinthians 13:2,13 : And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Galatians 5:6: For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.
Ephesians 3:17,19: That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love. 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Colossians 3:14: But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
Love one another fervently.
1 Thessalonians 3:12: And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you.
1 Peter 1:22b: Love one another fervently with a pure heart.
1 Peter 4:8: And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins."
Love sincerely and genuinely.
Judges 16:15a: Then she said to him, "How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when your heart is not with me?"
Romans 12:9: Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
1 Peter 1:22a: Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren,
Philippians 1:9–10: And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ.
The benefits that loving others brings us:
John 13:35: By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
Ephesians 3:17–19: That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
1 John 2:10: He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
1 John 3:14: We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.
1 John 4:7b: Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:12: No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
1 John 4:16: And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
